The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) is set to host the Maldives Financial Expo 2026 from 2 to 4 July at Hulhumalé Central Park, bringing together leading financial institutions, government agencies, and industry experts in a single venue. Returning after a nine-year hiatus, the event aims to enhance financial literacy, encourage financial inclusion, and highlight the latest developments in the country's financial sector.
Held under the theme "Empowering Sustainable Futures: Inclusion, Innovation, and Intelligence," the expo will welcome visitors each day from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is free, providing an opportunity for the public to learn more about financial services and products available in the Maldives.
Visitors will have direct access to commercial banks, insurance providers, finance companies, regulatory authorities, and government institutions. They can compare financial products, seek professional advice, and explore solutions such as savings and investment options, business financing, insurance coverage, and digital banking services.
In addition to exhibition booths, the event will feature interactive activities designed to improve financial knowledge through hands-on experiences and discussions with industry professionals. Organisers hope the expo will help individuals make better-informed financial decisions while increasing awareness of modern financial technologies.
Special panel discussions, scheduled for 2 and 4 July, will bring together policymakers and financial experts to discuss current industry trends, innovation, and the future of financial services in the Maldives.
The expo also offers a family-friendly atmosphere with live entertainment, games, lucky draws, food stalls operated by local businesses, and a dedicated Children's Evening on 3 July from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The children's programme will introduce basic money management and financial concepts through engaging educational activities.
Building on the success of previous editions, which attracted thousands of visitors in 2015 and 2017, the Maldives Financial Expo 2026 reflects the continued growth and transformation of the country's financial sector. Organisers expect this year's expanded event to attract even greater public participation and strengthen awareness of financial opportunities available to individuals and businesses across the Maldives.
